Ok,let me set the scene for you so that we are on the same page. This girl is very pretty, she is 35 and is a dress size 12/14. She has been connected to this guy by a mutual friend who thinks they will hit it off .The guy (Let's call him Adam) is taking her out for dinner. They are going to a nice restaurant , nothing 5 star, but it's a proper sit down 4 course meal.
The blind date is in 2 weeks time and Adam will pick her up from her house. He'll be driving so she doesn't need to worry about getting on the train e.t.c.
We had about 8 dresses in mind, but have narrowed them down to these 3. We would like to hear your honest opinion on what dress to go for.
I would avoid red, because although it's my favourite colour, it's quite bold and too romantic for a first meet up. That's just my opinion. Men love blue so i would go for a royal blue or even a purple.
Mint and Coral are very playful and youthful but i would avoid them for the blind date. Once they get to know each other she can wear whatever.
Anyway, so let's talk about the first dress. Chosen because it's midi length , It has a flattering cut and accentuates all the right stuff. The plunging neck is playful but not deep enough to be flirty. Add a dainty silver necklace and a clutch and the whole look is amazing. For me this dress was the winner.
Then we had this red chiffon little number. The reason it wasn't number one for me is because it's quite short. However chiffon is a luxurious fabric and always looks more expensive than the other stretch fabrics so here's the dress...
And finally we had another chiffon dress but this time in a midi length. This dress has pearl detail on the mesh neckline. It looked lovely on her. We thought maybe it was too much for a first dinner date.
