A beautiful dress for your teenage daughter.

If you have ever gone shopping with your teenage daughter then you know that it can be pretty hectic. Joyce walked in dragging along her sulking daughter. She was turning eighteen in a weeks time and Joyce wanted to throw her a memorable birthday party. Poor Joyce was already sweating and as she hugged me she whispered, "Rosy, you have to make sure you get something she will accept I can't walk into another shop". Taking a peek behind her I could see that fulfilling Joyce's wish was not going to be a walk in the park. There stood Joyce's 17-year-old daughter, Nadia, arms folded legs apart giving the "bring it on" look. She was wearing a fascinating outfit assortment, cut off booty shorts and leggings, tank top and the weirdest looking kimono cardigan. I have to say that for a minute there I doubted whether I would be able to impress her. I had to try right?

I had to think of something that was chic enough for her age but also stunning to ensure that her birthday is a memorable occasion. One of the dresses that seemed to attract a lot of attention from all ages was our mesh chiffon fabric dress with a crystal detailed bodices. The sleeveless gown radiated elegance even from miles away. It was the perfect choice for showing off the toned youthful arms as well as a bit of cleavage. Not to worry about showing too much as the mesh material between the bosom would cover things up nicely. Therefore, keeping mama happy. Wink! Wink!

Honestly, as I brought out this dress I was afraid that she would hate it. I mean teenage girls can be pretty intimidating, right? But as I saw her eyes light up when she touched the black chiffon dress I knew I had made the right decision.

Needless to say, Joyce was over the moon when she saw her little girl walk from the changing room. She wanted to get herself the pink one for herself but Nadia gave her a horrified look thus stopping that idea dead on the tracks.

Now that Nadia had found the perfect dress for her birthday all she needed were accessories. As you can imagine she was a girl with her own mind who couldn't be easily persuaded. She choose an amazing pair of black stilettos to finish her look. We also convinced her into incorporating statement-making studs and a beautiful sky blue clutch bag to break the monotony. Our princess was now ready for her eighteenth birthday.
