Big fashion houses like Prada and Marc had beautiful tailored pieces. There is an elegance created by the sharp silhouette of a tailored dress but it can also be a source of frustration when you feel that in addition to your lovely curves you have some layers that you would rather keep tucked in.
These dresses can be quite "unforgiving" and will show every curve (including bulges). This is however not a reason to dismiss them completely as with the right undergarments anyone can create the illusion of smooth curves and get the flexibility to wear the dresses that they dream of.
For the smooth effect we recommend a good quality body shaper or corset.
A good fit corset should be discrete under clothing and ideally should allow you to wear your own bra. Corsets provide firm support and reduce the waistline by a few inches. They create a visibly slimmer waist and flatter tummy. They can be very constricting and some people find them slightly uncomfortable especially on the first day of use but it does get better with continued use.
If you prefer something that's not very tight you can purchase a good bodyshaper.
Bodyshapers are comfortable and provide moderate control meaning the effect won't be as big as a corset but at least you will have the comfort.
Back to tailored style dresses, we love this beautiful deep v-neck frill sleeve bodycon dress.
It has a deep v-neck to show your cleavage ( a wonder bra will do wonders),
and the waistline is defined in a chevron shaped panel giving you the flat tummy illusion.
The dress is knee length and it has a sexy back slit.
Available in coral and ecru this dress is ideal for work (a jacket and opaque tights will give it a formal edge),a dinner party (a killer pair of heels and a matching clutch bags will make it glam) or even a wedding reception.
What do you think of this dress, do you like the style? Would you be comfortable wearing it and what occasion would you say its best suited for?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
