Blue or Black, which is your choice?

My lovely friend is relocating to Derby and she came in to say bye. I call her "little dynamite" because she is small but explosive. She thrives on high adrenaline and stress. Her typical greeting is "Am so stressed!" and she will get it all off her chest and then we can start our chit chat.

Anyway, she popped in to say bye as well as treat herself to a dress. There was no specified occasion for which she was buying the dress, which is always tricky. If someone comes and says they have a wedding, a christening, a ball, a cruise etc it's  relatively easy to get an outfit for them. But when someone says that they want a standby dress they can wear for any occasion, then we have a challenge in our hands.

We agreed that any bling on the dress wasn't a great idea as that would be limiting in terms of occasion to wear the dress to. I suggested this lace dress that is quite plain and elegant and has  a scalloped back.

The lace dress was winning till she tried on this other dress which has a contrast top. She fell in love with it but we couldn't decide on the colour.

So the question is which colours should she go for?

The black or the blue? Which one do you prefer?
