Dressing for an all white house party

Nina came to see me in panic mode a week ago. Last month, her friend gave her an invite to a house party which she acknowledged.

On the day of the party, she was all set. Her dress looked perfect and her  make-up was flawless. She was about to drive off when she decided to set up her Satnav for directions.

She got the invite out of her bag to check the post code and there it was glaring in her face. There was a dress code! A tiny note at the bottom of the card reading "Dress code : all white please."

How did she miss it? She was in royal blue!

So in panic she was wondering whether to call in and give an excuse or go for the party and look rude and stupid in blue. A thought crossed her mind that she could pop into the shops an see if she would get a dress at less than £50. Otherwise she was going to go home and sleep.

When she told me her story, i only had one option available in stock for her at that price point. The dress was a perfect fit and she loved it.

Note to self: Always look out for the dress code on any invite and if none given, call the host and ask for confirmation that there's no dress code to avoid last minute stress.
