Lola my friend was blessed with a baby boy a few weeks ago and she was having what i would term as an elaborate baby dedication. When she came in to see me, we had a chat about motherhood, the highs, the lows, the laughter the tears and all that.
When it got down to getting a dress, it was proving a little difficult. Lola's eyes weren't lit up as i showed her the options. She has been my customer for years so i know her quite well. She is a bubbly girl and when she sees something she likes, her eyes always light up. But this time i just wasn't getting the spark from her. Every dress was met with a firm no!
I smiled at her and she said to me "let me show you some pictures of what i typically wear to church on Sunday."
It was then that i realised that she wanted more of an embellished gown as opposed to simple dress. So we agreed that royal blue would be the best colour to match her husband's tie and baby's outfit.
She had lost most of the baby weight, but was still concerned about the tummy so we went for an empire waistline detail dress to draw attention away from the natural waist.
This dress was perfect as it had cap sleeve. She was planning to accessorise it with silver sandals and a silver bangle.
