Jane
came in puffing and raving about how she has been scavenging all afternoon for
a dress to wear to weddings, formal events, and celebrations. She was on the
verge of giving up when she came into the store. So I wanted to know a little
bit more about her plight. It turns out that Jane was attending a glamorous
wedding ceremony in honor of her dearest stepson and she was out shopping for a
dress.
What was the problem? I wondered. From where I stood Jane was a
beautiful lady with the perfect shape, but as she would later confide in me,
she had a tiny bit of flesh around her waist that she didn’t find to be so
flattering. Also, she didn’t want to
make a onetime wear purchase.
Immediately Jane told me about her woes, I
could instantly picture her in a soft chiffon empire waist dress. Not only is
the dress super elegant and formal but
also fabulous thus befitting the occasion. The empire waist emphasizes the
narrowest part of her waist thus creating the illusion of a flat tummy. The rest
of the dress is loose fitting skimming sexily around the body. The plunging
neckline would also draw attention to her perfect upper body while making the
bust appear fuller and curvier.
When Jane stepped out of the dressing room
wearing the baby blue empire waist chiffon dress we were all in awe. Looking in the mirror, Jane screamed and
jumped on to me in a long teary embrace. She was so happy and excited that she
had at last found a dress that suited her so well. Seeing that she would be in
the limelight, we decided to keep the accessories on the minimal keeping the
look simple but elegant. I suggested a dainty silver pendant, a yellow clutch
and a pair of yellow heels. Citing that she didn’t want too much attention to
her bosom, she threw in a loose chiffon scarf. Jane was fully satisfied with
her look and walked away happy.
